I am a huge fan of nicole's blog and i was really skeptical about purchasing a cookbook. i mean, what's the point? she has a blog for FREE, right? BUT i'm really glad that I bought it. With the exception of ONE recent recipe, every single one I've tried (upwards of about 30) her recipes are SPOT ON.. (to be honest, I think the recent recipe was user error). Every cookie/bar/cake I've made always ends in rave reviews and I have referred people to her blog a countless number of times over the past few years.Her recipes are simple and easy... isn't that what baking is all about? buy this - and please check out her blog. recipes i particularly like include, but are not limited to her yellow cake recipe, butter cream frosting... cookies... bars... oh, definitely her brown butter cupcakes with brown butter frosting. try try try!

I was excited to see her cookbook went digital and bought myself a copy and one for a good friend wh also enjoys baking. Recipes always turn out well and are usually keepers to make again.
I've been following Nicoles blog for about a year, and have found that here recipes are easy "winners"- pretty simple to whip up with great complex tastes. I'm a bigfan of scones and biscotti-and this book includes some recipes I can't wait to try! And even though I don't normally make cakes, I'm just going to have to make the gorgeous Fresh Plum Cake.
